Football & English Summer camp, Helsinki

Service Description

The football English camp will help students improve their football skills whilst learning English and life-skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Coaching The coaching element will focus on: receiving skills, turning skills, travelling with the ball, passing over varying distances and attacking and defending skills. This will build into 2 v 2 and 4 v 4 games, where players are encouraged to practise their new skills and demonstrate where and when to apply the appropriate techniques. We finish with larger practice games and the focus will shift towards game understanding. Football English In the English language element, the students will practise communication and reading and writing skills, where they will put their learning into context, creating press releases, writing articles, conducting player interviews and researching sports-related media. Their English skills are developed inside and outside the classroom, improving all aspects of their communication and understanding. All players receive an individual coaching assessment and certificate to take home. Players will also receive a detailed report on their English language and future study tips, and a completion certificate from their teacher. The course will be taken by Daniel, our qualified football coach and English language teacher.
